This animation shows how the ColorMatch RGB gamut colorspace used by most publishers and printers (depicted in white) maps to the smaller CYMK colorspace typical of four-color sheetfed offset printing (depicted in color).

The difference in size between the white wire frame the ColorMatch gamut and the CYMK ink gamut floating in its center, represents colors that a ColorMatch calibrated monitor can display, but the inks cannot print. Colors most affected are those which are reproduced with cyan, magenta inks.

Also note the areas of yellow, green, and cyan which fall outside of the ColorMatch RBG gamut. These represent colors the inks can reproduce but the monitor cannot display.
